The layers of the skin can be easily learned through the pneumonic “Come, let’s get sun burned”.

Each word represents a different layer of tissue.

Come= Stratum Corneum

Let’s= Stratum Lucidum, only in palms of hands and soles of feet

Get=Stratum Granulosum

Sun=Stratum Spinosum

Burned=Stratum Basale, single layer of cells
