Your UNO journey starts here—so dive in and make a splash!
Starting strong is key to a successful college experience—and UNO makes sure you have the tools, connections, and fun to do just that! Our Privateer Plunge (fall) and Spring Splash (spring) programs are designed to help you navigate your first weeks, meet new people, and get involved in campus life.
These programs are six-week involvement challenges for new students to kick off their first semester of college. They are packed with events and opportunities that help you get comfortable on campus and connect with the UNO community.
You can track your progress using the Suitable app, earning points and digital badges for each event that you attend. Students are required to attend 3 events to earn their badge and for UNIV course credit. Students who attend 12 or more events are entered to win additional prizes though, so don’t stop at just 3 events! Make it your goal to attend even more!
