This book is an adaptation of Modern World History by Dan Allosso (Bemidji State University) and Tom Williford (Southwest Minnesota State University), which can be found at https://mlpp.pressbooks.pub/modernworldhistory/. Modern World History is licensed as CC BY-NC-SA. We would like to thank Dr. Allosso and Dr. Williford for their work in this area of open educational resources.
The following changes were made to this book as a whole:
- H5P activities were inserted at the end of each chapter to reinforce concepts.
- Review questions, terminology, and callout boxes were color-coded.
- Where possible, the book was rewritten to improve accuracy, update information and terms, ensure a truly global focus, and emphasize diversity of source materials, viewpoints, and historical figures to ensure the contemporary relevance of modern world history to students.
